Ordinances are legislative acts or local laws, prescribing general, uniform, and permanent rules of conduct, relating to the corporate affairs of the city. Ordinances are the most permanent and binding form of council action and may be amended or repealed only by adoption of a subsequent ordinance as per: BLMC 2.04.740.
Ordinances under consideration by the City Council are assigned a draft ordinance number and may be found in the agenda packets for meetings and workshops at which the Council plans to discuss them. Visit the City Council/Workshop Agendas & Minutes page to view current and past agendas and minutes.
